Holyoke---Bright and sunny MacKenzie Stadium was rocking once again to the sounds of summer as the (2-1) Holyoke Giants returned home to face the (1-1) Mill City All-Americans on Tuesday evening. Set against the backdrop of picturesque mount Tom, MacKenzie Stadium and the Holyoke Giants were once again cranking out their signature slice of Americana: hometown baseball, ballpark burgers and franks, and an affordable all-around good-time.

Battling the shadows that crawled across the diamond, the Giant bats were able to push across two runs in the bottom of the first inning. With Eric Williams and DJ Burns finding their way on base via the walk, Matt McGraw laced a solidly struck two-run double deep into the right field gap scoring both runners with ease. Holyoke would never look back.

Giantıs starting pitcher Jeremy Demers was sharp, and peppered the strike zone through six frames. Demers struck out a total of seven, while only giving up two hits.

³(Demers) got some big outsŠThey had a few runners on third and Jeremy was able to work out of it with the strike out,² Head Coach Joel Southern said. ³Those were big outs to get.²

Bryan Adamski and Jeff Mayo added RBI singles in Holyokeıs two run third inning.

Sweet swinging DJ burns helped the Giants score three runs in the sixth with a two run double hammered over the center fielderıs head.

The Giants put the game out of reach in the seventh scoring four times, and staking Holyoke to a commanding 11-1 lead.
