Biography:
Phil Nicoletti is in his first year as a coach with the Navigators. Nicoletti is also in his first year as an Associate Area Scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Nicoletti spent the past 3 years as a Scout with the Cleveland Indians Organization.
Nicoletti comes to the Navigators after spending the 2009 season as an Assistant Coach and the Director of Grounds for the El Paso Diablos Professional Baseball Club in the American Association of Professional Baseball in El Paso, Texas.
Phil spent the 2008 season coaching alongside former MLB All Star, and World Series Champion Cecil Fielder with the Atlantic City Surf Professional Baseball Team in the Can/Am League of Professional Baseball in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Along with his coaching duties for the Surf, Phil was the Assistant Director of Baseball Operations. In March of 2008, Nicoletti served as a Pitching Coach at the World Free Agent Spring Training in Cocoa, Florida.
Phil also served a brief stint as Field Manager for the Watertown Wizards in the New York Collegiate Baseball League, before stepping down to take a position as Pitching Coach for the Charlotte County Redfish Professional Baseball Club in the Independent South Coast League of Professional Baseball. In the Fall of 2007, Phil was a Pitching Coach at the Pro Prospect Florida Fall League in Cocoa, Florida.
After returning from the fall league, Nicoletti teamed up with current Milwaukee Brewers Scout Jeremy Booth, to run the Boston Area Scout Team. In the busy summer of 2007, Phil was the Head Baseball Coach at AR High School in Iowa.
In 2006, Nicoletti was the National Director of Player Procurement with the Cintron Sports Management Group.
In 2005, Nicoletti started his coaching career with the Iowa Lakes American Legion team, serving as the Pitching Coach. Nicoletti was also a Player/Assistant at Iowa Lakes College, where he was a 2 Year Team Captain, and All Region XI Team Member.
The Lynn, Mass native is a 1999 Graduate of Lynn English High School.
Phil is a member of the Association of Professional Baseball Players of America, as well as a member of the prestigious National Pitching Association.
