Internship Opportunities with the North Shore Navigators
The Navs are owned and operated by Salvi Sports New England. Salvi Sports owns and operates two other Independent Baseball League franchises.
The Navigators are a summer wood bat team in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. The team plays a 54-game schedule (27 home) from June 6th through August 15th. The team is based in Lynn, MA and plays at Fraser Field -- a former professional venue that seats 3,000. The team operates in the same manner as any professional minor league team. The Navigators averaged 1,006 fans per game in 2012. The Navs player roster features players from Division I schools -- Florida, Pepperdine, Stony Brook, Notre Dame, Boston College, UMass-Amherst (among others).
Sales Executive
Internship runs January 15th through approximately May 15th
Responsibilities: Sales of ticket packages to include season tickets, flex packages and groups/picnics. Other marketing and public relations duties that may arise -- community appearances, website and social media interaction. This is mainly a SALES internship -- the major skill that EVERY PRO SPORTS TEAM is looking for prospective employees to have. Having sales experience will put you ahead of the competition when looking for a job. The Navigators will provide sales training and leads.
Compensation: $100 per week plus 10% commission on new business sold.
TWO positions are available. This is a full-time/40 hours per week commitment.
Navigators Rally Squad
Internship runs during Navigators home games only (27 home dates)
Responsibilities: Execute ALL Navigators in-game promotions -- interact with the crowd throughout the games, hand out sponsor coupons, sell scorecards and 50/50 tickets.
Compensation: Some compensation will be provided (to be determined).
FOUR positions are available.
Media / Press Box
Internship runs during Navigators home games only (27 home dates) in the Fraser Field Press Box.
Responsibilities: Execute social media updates, game entertainment coordination and post-game media releases.
Compensation: There is no compensation for this position.
